For me, a home has always been more than just a space. It is a reflection of the people who live there — a collection of memories, textures, colours and treasured pieces gathered along the way.

For more than 20 years, Shiva Designs has been shaped by my love of travel, my passion for beautiful craftsmanship, and my belief that the most special pieces are those with a story behind them.

Whenever I travel, I am drawn to the unexpected — a beautifully handcrafted object, a unique textile, a piece created by skilled hands, or a conversation with the person who made it. These moments of discovery and connection are what inspire me, and they are the feeling I hope to share with you.

Where it all began — Melbourne, 2006

The Shiva Designs journey began in Melbourne in 2006, born from a love of interiors, colour and beautiful things.

From the very beginning, it was never only about the pieces themselves. It was about creating a place where people could discover something special, be inspired, and connect with objects that brought warmth and personality into their homes.

Each collection was carefully chosen — not only for its beauty, but for the craftsmanship, story and feeling behind it.

Singapore — A chapter of connection and celebration

Our move to Singapore became one of the most meaningful chapters in the Shiva Designs journey.

What began as a creative studio — a space where collections were curated and ideas came to life — naturally evolved into a showroom and shop where people could experience Shiva Designs in a more personal way.

The space became much more than a place to discover beautiful pieces. It became a gathering place where people came together, shared stories, found inspiration and connected over a love of interiors, craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

We hosted a range of events throughout the year, creating moments for our community to celebrate together. Our Mother’s Day and Christmas events became especially memorable, bringing people through our doors to enjoy the atmosphere, discover meaningful gifts and share special moments with loved ones.

The greatest gift of our Singapore years was the community we built. Customers became friends, and the conversations, laughter and connections created within that space remain some of my most treasured memories.

A new chapter — bringing the world home

In 2022, Shiva Designs entered an exciting new chapter, returning home to Melbourne with a fresh vision and an online store.

Today, we continue to curate collections from Europe, India and beyond — bringing together timeless homewares, artisan-made pieces and designs chosen for their beauty, quality and story.

While our online store allows us to share these treasures more widely, our pop-ups bring back what I love most: meeting you, hearing your stories and helping you discover pieces that feel truly at home.
